Brussels : Day 5 - Museums & home!

our last day in Brussels.. we had to check out by 11am cos next guests were coming in.  as the apartment was equipped with washing machine and dryer, I washed the dirty clothes the night before, packed and cleaned the apartment and by 10am we were out of the place.

took tram 81 to Brussels Midi/Zuid and left our bags at the left luggage centre and took Metro 2 towards Elisabeth, stopped at Botanique and walked 600metre to  Comic Museum. it was ok, not as exciting as I expected.  the entrance fee is a bit pricey for such a small place, Adult 8 Euro, 12-8 y.o  6 Euro and under 12, 3 Euro. We went to the museum shop cos big missy was hoping to get some comics but almost all comics were in French! and they are not cheap either.

after lunch, we took the Metro 2 from Botanique to Porte de Namur, walked towards Place Royale and Musical Instrument Museum (MIM). Sax 200 Exhibition was held at MIM to mark 200th birthday of the great Belgian Adolphe SAX who invented Saxophone, born in Dinnat. MIM is located nearby lots of museums - Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), Margritte Museum, Royal Museum of Fine Arts and Church of St Jacques-sur-Coudenberg, all around Place Royale, which is also near Royal Palace/Place des Royale

From Porte Namur, we took the metro back to Brussels Midi and waited for about an hour before boarding the Eurostar back to London.

we arrived at 8.00pm (local time), had dinner at Yo Sushi and took the 9.30pm train back to Notts, arrived at 11.30pm; took the car from carpark and arrived home at nearly 12 midnight
