Bourton-on-the-water & Chipping Campden, The Cotswolds

in January, cik nai - hub's cousin who lives in Vancouver came and stayed with us for a few days. we took her to Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Camden, 2 small villages in the Cotswolds.

The Cotswolds is one of the most 'quintessentially English' and unspoiled regions of England. the whole of the Cotswold region is formed by six English counties of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Bath & North East Somerset.

Bourton has been described as Little Venice of the Cotswolds and one of the most popular tourist spots in the region. can be very busy on warm days.

Chipping Camden is just over 12 miles (25 minutes drive) away from Bourton; famous for thatched roof cottages and St. James Church, at the north end of the town (see pic below), is perhaps, the finest 'wool' church in the Cotswolds, with a magnificent 120ft (36 metre) tower.
